When looking at the shorkie breed we know they tend to be hypoallergenic because they have hair and not fur.  The shorkie can be  a great option for some dog lovers who suffer from allergies. But you must know that NO dog is 100% non-allergenic, some dogs are basically "low-allergy." Though they shed little to no hair and less dander than typical dogs, all dogs will shed some dander  this even means hairless dogs.

Generally, dogs with continuously growing hair tend to be the most hypoallergenic. However, some of these dogs will need to be kept on a strict grooming schedule. Please note that some people are actually allergic to dog saliva. Unfortunately, there are no specific breeds with "hypoallergenic saliva."

Some people with very severe allergies may still not be able to tolerate a shorkie.  Each dog can affect each individual allergy sufferer differently. Just because you don't have a reaction with one dog dose NOT mean you wont have one with a different dog. If you are allergic but love dogs, you should consider a shorkie. But please if you have allergies take that into consideration before you adopt or buy a dog. Have a plan in place just in case you have an issue.

There are many things you can do to make sure you are healthy and you can have a fur friend. If you have allergies make sure you tell the breeder you are dealing with. So she or he can be part of that plan.
